About

Hi, I’m Kayla.
I like making sense of things.

Messy briefs. Growing brands. Complicated systems. Ideas that haven't quite figured out what they want to be yet.

I’m an art director and designer who loves finding the throughline—then turning it into something thoughtful, useful, and beautiful.

My background spans brand design, art direction, campaigns, retail, digital, and environmental experiences, but the way I approach the work stays pretty consistent: start with people, understand the problem, build a strong idea, and create a system that helps it live in the real world.

I’m happiest somewhere between thinking and making—developing the concept, establishing the visual direction, organizing the pieces, and then obsessing over the details that bring it all together.

That way of thinking doesn’t really turn off when I’m not working. I’m constantly dreaming up business ideas inspired by everyday problems—thinking about what could work better, feel more thoughtful, or make life a little easier and more fulfilling. Sometimes they stay in my Notes app. Sometimes they turn into something I can’t stop thinking about. Either way, curiosity is a pretty constant part of how I move through the world.

I've brought that approach to brands across beauty, wellness, retail, fashion, real estate, and lifestyle—and I'm always interested in what I haven't made yet.

Good work should look good. Great work should make sense.
